The word “aromatherapy” means healing through scent. Using the same process that creates fragrant perfume oils, therapeutic essential oils are distilled from plants, including flowers, trees, leaves, roots and seeds. Many cosmetics and products found on supermarket and drugstore shelves now use essential oils rather than artificial fragrance as more consumers seek the benefits of aromatherapy.
The practice of aromatherapy, specifically the use of essential oils to promote health and wellbeing, dates back thousands of years. There is an increasing body of scientific research to support their effectiveness as well as describe contraindications. Sometimes essential oils are applied topically, for example tea tree for its antiseptic properties or lavender for soothing. When inhaled, the chemical compounds in the oils or their scent have a physical effect on the autonomic nervous system.
If you are seeking therapeutic benefits rather than just the enjoyment of a favorite “smell,” it is wise to consult with a trained, experienced aromatherapy practitioner. A practitioner will take a medical history to exercise proper caution with essential oils that may be contraindicated for certain conditions.
How does Tragom make an Aroma Potion over the phone?
Aroma consultations for the purpose of creating an Aroma Potion can be done over the phone, by appointment only. No preparation is necessary on your part. Tragom will guide you just as he does in an in-person session, and then mail you the Aroma Potion.
Does Tragom travel for in-person consultations? Sessions, parties and special celebrations and workshops...can be done in your home or other location. Tragom is willing to travel from his base in North Hawaii (the Big Island) and has also created personal videos to accompany gifts sent to a special celebration!
How do I use my Tragom Aroma Potion?
Your Aroma Potion may be carried about in its pouch so that the scent is close at hand during the day. Unless you are instructed otherwise in your consultation or session, it can be applied to pulse points or elsewhere on the body, used in a bath, or added to an unscented body lotion. |
